(OOC: The title..just don't even ask. XD A thread for Khanny and Garnar, if you please.)
Tipped paws hung over a slab of stone just past the Hotel Cavalier, slowly swaying in the light breeze that had picked up. The golden dog whom the paws belonged to seemed to have fallen asleep, not really caring what the wind did to his dangling paws.
And so the wind took its cue, tickling the dog's paws as it rushed past. The dog opened one brown eye, and a smile broke across his face, as he shifted to a more suitable standing position. Chuckling, he looked to the sky.
"Oh, wind, my old friend. Don't you have anything better to do with your time?" Garnar asked, curving his back to stretch himself. Walking a few paces forth, the dog's keen eyes caught an unusual looking creature.
Was that a tiger?
"Oy! You over there!" Garnar barked, bounding over the the small tiger. "Who're you?" he asked, with all the exuberance of a puppy.

Every muscle in the young tiger's body tensed as his ears picked up the most unwelcome sound of barking just moments before he saw the voice's owner bounding towards him. Khan's last experience with canines hadn't gone well - wouldn't have ended well either if Bagheera and the others hadn't intervened, although he'd never willingly admit that he'd needed their help - and while this one evidently wasn't one of the red dogs, the big cat cub was still wary in case he had a pack hanging aroung to back him up. Just like the cowards dogs were - although he couldn't claim that their techniques were ineffective in spite of that.
"Do I look like someone who'd answer to you?" the striped cub returned waspishly, yellow orbs narrowing, his paws moving, ready to defend himself or to carry him just beyond the dog's reach if he looked like trying to pose a threat. He was well aware that he wasn't on his own territory anymore, and as such, didn't command the authority amongst other creatures that he usually would back home, and that fact was only serving to make the feline more edgy than normal.
(ooc: don't be put off by Khan's attitude, it's just the way he is XD;;; )

(OOC: Oh, no, no, I understand. XD)
Garnar skidded to a stop as he came closer to the tiger cub. Tilting his head curiously, he sniffed the air around the tiger, as if trying to track a scent. “Not exactly.” Garnar said, seating himself as he said so. “Again, I wouldn’t know, because I’ve never met someone like you before.” Garnar said, with a toothy grin. His tail began wagging just a little at the tip, as it always did when the shepherd was curious.
The small feline seemed a little put off by his surroundings, and the golden dog could sense that well. After a brief moment of silence, the dog spoke again. “Not too comfortable around here, huh?” he asked. Before the tiger had a chance to respond, Garnar kept running his mouth. “I’m not too comfortable around here either. Takes me a while to get used to new surroundings and all. In fact, I’m just here to find my owner.” he said, making direct eye contact with the tiger’s yellow eyes.

"Okay, so it's a little different from my jungle, but I'm doing just fine," Khan returned tautly, returning the dog's gaze in an unspoken challenge. He wouldn't be intimidated by a man-town like this - or even if he was, wouldn't admit to that fact, at any rate. The tiger cub's tail twitched distainfully as the golden canine mentioned his owner, the look he was giving the dog becoming scornful.
"You're just a human pet," Khan sneered derisively, grey lids lowering, narrowing the yellow orbs beneath. Any thoughts he'd had that the dog might be a threat were quickly evaporating. Only a weak creature, one that couldn't look out for itself, would seek to be owned by man. It was contemptible. Any self-respecting creature would rather give up on life than enslave themself to a human. "You're not even worth my time."
